Appalachia Roving

Appalachia colorway is an attempt to capture the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. For me this is a winter scene, with mountain ranges of white to deep purple and grey for that endless mountain view.  This colorway is pairs well with a wide range of colors and colorways. A staple at Companion Fiber.

What makes Companion Fiber hand dyed wool special? Our colors are curated to create a beautiful variegated effect in your spun yarn. The specialized dye process makes fiber that is fluffy and easy to spin. This eliminates any need for additional carding.

Each braid of individually dyed fiber contains approximately 4 ounces of wool. Shipping times are one week from order date. This roving is dyed to order. If it is in stock, shipping date will be 1-2 business days.   There are two options for bases:

• 100% Merino Wool - 21.5 microns and 3-4 inches in staple length 
• 100% Blue Face Leicester Wool (BFL)  - 25 microns and 3-4 inches in staple length. This wool is variegated (black and white wool base) and will be slightly darker overall compared to the Merino version 

Wool is perfect for hand spinning, weaving and felting.

Colors are captured as accurately as possible. Please be aware that colors can change slightly depending on your monitor settings. I offer returns and exchanges on all items. Your happiness is my goal!
